Crucial Elk Habitat Permanently Protected in Northern California, Townley Ranch 2012

Below are some images I was hired to take of Steve Townleys Ranch in Shasta Valley in October of 2012 for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.  What a blessing to get out for the afternoon and not only do what I love but spend quality time with Steve Townley learning about some wonderful "Siskiyou County History".

It took five years and a lot of ups and downs, but RMEF and this longtime northern California ranching family "The Townleys" are making it work for elk and cattle—and forever.

Here is the article that RMEF published "Dreaming Big in the Little Shasta Valley" By Dan Crockett and photos by Living Shasta Photography, Karrie Ann Snure
